The living room is beautifully decorated with a large sofa and armchair for relaxing together after a long day exploring the city. From here you can watch the flat-screen TV which is also pre-installed with international channels for your entertainment. The kitchen is open plan and well designed with all the equipment you need for preparing your favourite meals from home for your guests. There’s a stylish dining table and chairs for enjoying meal times together or perhaps using a lap-top or playing games. The three bedrooms are simply decorated with a muted palette to ensure a good night’s sleep. Each is fitted with mood lighting and excellent storage furniture for your clothes and essential travel items. Two of the rooms have double beds, whilst the third has two singles. The Amstel Gold apartment lies just south of the city centre in the popular Watergraafsmeer district on the edge of the majestic River Amstel. .The apartment is just two minutes’ walk away from Wiboutstraat where you can catch any tram taking you to the city centre and Central Station. Alternatively Amstel Station is within easy walking distance where you can catch the metro, trains, buses or trams into the city centre.
Why not hire bicycles and explore the city at a slightly faster pace? An excellent afternoon excursion is to follow the Amstel south of the city all the way to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, a small village a few miles away. The journey will take you past beautiful old stately homes, windmills and open fields. Return to the city by cycling back up the river on the other side.
It’s also possible to follow the river on foot into the city centre. You will come to the Waterlooplein Flea market, the city’s most popular marketplace. Here you will find just about anything for sale. It’s a great place to look for an unusual souvenir of your holiday in Amsterdam or for interesting photo opportunities.

Excellent apartment, clean, everything included, towels, utensils, with a bottle of red wine also waiting on us on arrival - thank you. Situated in a good location just far enough away from the city centre to allow you to see other parts of the City, 5mins walk from metro station and 5mins walk the opposite way to Amstel Train station and with a 3day pass costing 15euro it was very handy. Very easy to find your way about with local shops close by. Staff very helpfull. Everyone of our group would definately recommend this company and this apartment to friends and family and we most definately will be using it again ourselves. The closest (that we could find) food shop is on the Victorieplein (the "Dirk", open till 22:00).
Pros:
- everything inside and around is REALLY nice.
Cons:
- only 2 (two) sets of keys are not quite convinient if you are three or more persons. Also, a microwave oven could be handy.
Bottom line:
- we will rent these appartments for our next stay in Amsterdam.
