  • Utrechtsestraat truly has its own unique character. It is a varied blend of boutique shops, record stores, restaurants and old Amsterdam bars and cafés, yet for some reason often remains unvisited by many coming to Amsterdam. The ever-popular Amstelveld Square awaits nearby with its flower, antique and farmers market as well as local grocery stores making it the ideal place to pick up food, drinks and other supplies. This area enjoys a relaxed atmosphere despite being a mere five minute walk from lively Rembrandt Square. The canals of this part of the city are particularly well known for their authentic, beautiful architecture and accessibility. The central location of the studio makes it easy to walk to almost anywhere in the city but if you need public transport, options are close by. Utrechtsestraat is an under appreciated part of Amsterdam worthy of being your holiday home.

    We stayed in Amstelveld 6 for a long weekend and found the apartment stylishly decorated, lovely and bright with plenty of storage. The kitchenette is well appointed and easily hidden from view when not in use. What the bijou bathroom lacks in size it more than makes up for with a fabulous shower and clean decor. We particularly loved wandering down the nearby Utrechtstraat with its cafes, restaurants and boutiques; we felt a million miles away from the tourist hordes of central Amsterdam whilst being just a short walk away.
