Bright, fresh, modern and immaculately presented, the 1-bedroom Artemis apartment has everything to make your short stay in Amsterdam absolutely perfect.
This outstanding holiday home is fitted with all the modern comforts you would expect to find at home. Large windows let in lots of natural daylight, whilst the white walls and brightly coloured furnishings create a real sense of space. This is a typical old Amsterdam townhouse originally built in 1753. It has been lovingly renovated leaving many original architectural details visible including stunning original wooden ceiling beams. Relax together after a day out exploring the city on the large comfy sofa that converts into a double bed for two of your guests to sleep on at night time. From here you can enjoy the flat screen TV also provided. It is installed with European channels to cater for guests form around the world. To the side lies an excellent open kitchen fitted with all the equipment you will need to prepare all your own meals during your stay. Enjoy mealtimes together at the stylish dining table and chairs alongside. The living area looks out onto a charming patio which you can easily access through the French windows by climbing three small wooden steps. The bedroom is beautifully decorated in simple creamy colours to ensure a god night’s sleep. You will find a comfortable double bed, bedside tables, mood lighting and good storage furniture for your clothes and belongings. The apartment has its own private and extremely stylish bathroom fitted with a toilet, sink and shower.

Apartment is located in the southern Canal Belt area a few minutes’ walk from the majestic Prinsengracht. Take a leisurely stroll along the stunning tree lined canals admiring the pretty houseboats and incredible 18th and 19th century fairytale architecture. This really is one of the most beautiful districts in the city. Incredibly in the 1970s plans were made to demolish much of the area in an attempt to create an access road to the city. After many street battles and protests the plans were overturned and the thankfully only a small part of the city centre was demolished mainly in preparation for the controversial underground metro train service. In 2010 the entire Canal Belt area was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2010 as it is considered to be of great architectural and historical importance.
Getting to and from Central Station is very easy as there are regular trams going up and down the Vijzelstraat at the end of the street just a few minutes’ walk away. The tram journey takes around 6 minutes. Ideal if you are travelling with lots of luggage.
If you feel like ‘going native’ then maybe you could hire bicycles from any of the many reasonably priced hire companies around the city.
