The extremely luxurious 3-bedroom Captain Canal House 2 is located in the very centre of the city close to Central Station and sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably.
This classic Amsterdam canal side townhouse has been elegantly restored and many of its original architectural design features remain intact. Exposed wooden ceiling joists are visible in the sleeping area of the apartment. There are three bedrooms each decorated in calming creamy colours to encourage a restful ambience and a good night’s sleep. Two rooms are fitted with double beds whilst the third has two singles. The living room is an immaculately presented with striking designer wallpapers and contemporary black and white themed furnishings. Relax with your guests on the large comfy sofa and armchair and enjoy the flat screen TV also provided for your entertainment. Through an elegant archway lies a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. You will find all the equipment you need for preparing your own meals and a stylish dining table and chairs to enjoy your culinary creations together. The apartment has a private bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, sink and toilet.

The Captain Canal House 2 apartment is located a few minutes’ walk east of Central Station- ideal for travellers with lots of luggage. The apartment is also on the very edge of the world famous Red Light District. Don’t be afraid to explore the streets, it is considered to be a very safe place these days. It is certainly a fascinating area to visit at night when the streets really come to life and the neon lights reflect atmospherically in the water of the canals. Please understand it is not allowed to take photos of the windows, no matter how tempting. The consequences may not be favourable.
To the rear of the apartment lies the new Amsterdam Library. It’s not just about books. With free access to the internet and printing facilities it’s the ideal place to print out boarding passes or documents should you need them. The library was only recently opened and it is certainly worth a look if only to see the futuristic design of the interior. Bright, white and very shiny with comfortable ‘pod seating’ and Apple computers, you could be forgiven for thing king that Steve Jobs was the architect.
