Step inside this beautifully refurbished apartment and be impressed by the amount of natural light, comfortable furniture and the attractive light wood laminate flooring throughout. You will find a large sofa in the living area for relaxing after a long day out exploring the city. Recharge your batteries here as you watch the flat screen TV also provided. The sofa also converts easily into a double bed for two of your guests. The bedroom itself has a double bed and is decorated in neutral colour tones to ensure a good night’s sleep. You will find ambient mood lighting, attractive artworks on the walls and good storage furniture too. The apartment has its own fully fitted open plan kitchen. Here you will have no problem preparing all your meals during your stay. You can enjoy them together served up at the dining table and chairs alongside. The Carré Apartment A-I can be found located on a pretty side canal just next to the breathtaking Amstel River. The popular Waterlooplein Flea Market is just an eight minute walk away where you can find all kinds of incredible bargains and unusual souvenirs of your holiday in Amsterdam.
If you have lots of luggage you can easily take the tram to the apartment to and from Central Station. After approximately a seven minute journey (depending on traffic) you can jump off at Sarphatistraat. Follow the Amstel north for 4 minutes and you will reach the apartment.
Walking into the city centre will take you pasty many placers of interest including the Carre Theatre and the elegant ‘Skinny Bridge’ or Magere Brug which is most famous for appearing in the James Bond classic 1970 film ‘Diamonds are Forever’. Cross over the bridge and make your way past the delightful; house boats and the fascinating Hermitage Museum where you can see some of the world’s finest paintings and learn about Dutch-Russian relations.
The Floating Flower Market, Tuschinski Cinema, Artis zoo and aquarium as well as the Botanical gardens are all just a short walk away. The neighborhood is quiet, beautiful, near cafes, convenient stores and tram stations. The dining table next to the big street window was the perfect spot to start the day having breakfast. The kitchen is more than well equipped! The wooden floors are very noisy so, in case the apartments above are rented, the use of ear plugs might be necessary.
