The location of the apartment is great for visiting Amsterdam’s most important museums like the ‘Van Gogh’ Museum and the ‘Rijksmuseum’ where you can find the largest Rembrandt ever painted called the ‘Nachtwacht’. But also you can walk in the ‘Vondelpark’ which opened in 1865 as the New Park. But after placing a statue in 1880 of ‘Joost van den Vondel’, a famous poet and 19th century playwright, the park was called ’Vondel Park’. The park is often used for open air events. Also not far away is the Heineken Experience. Located in a former brewery which was closed in 1988, this museum guides you though the history of this Dutch beer brand. At night you can walk to the ‘Leidsche Plein’. This square is famous for its nightlife and offers you plenty of entertainment with its bars, terraces and restaurants. You can find enough bus and tram stops in this neighborhood to take you all over Amsterdam.
