Situated on the first floor, this two bedroom dwelling is accessible via a pedestrian bridge overlooking the capital’s historic rooftops. Once you enter the abode, you will be impressed by the incredible spaciousness, the bright and invigorating atmosphere and the range of high quality amenities. The living room is enclosed by a generous row of floor to ceiling windows, enabling copious amounts of light to flood the room. Minimalist, modern furnishings and neutral tones are complimented by splashes of colour, a theme that continues throughout the apartment. A large sofa lies opposite the flat screen TV, providing a peaceful setting for relaxing with your group and enjoying the international channels on offer. As the name suggests, this Amsterdam apartment is located on the Damrak, which is a wide bustling avenue connecting Dam Square to the city’s Central Station. This allows simple and direct access to and from the airport, with the train station reachable in less than five minutes on foot. Due to its enviable centrality, many of Amsterdam’s major attractions are within walking distance, although the tram stops are just outside the accommodation should you wish to venture further afield.
Dam Square is often considered the focal core of the city, with the recognisable National Monument and stunning Royal Palace dominating the square. This lively area is also home to the popular Madame Tussauds Museum and a relatively upscale department store known as the Bijenkorf, which houses a great self service restaurant on the upper level. The white stone pillar, erected to commemorate the victims of World War II, marks the entrance to the notorious Red Light District. This intriguing neighbourhood is populated day and night by a diverse mix of visitors, from children to grandparents, and is home to a collection of great bars and cafes.
