  • The Dapper Market Apartment 15 is located just east of the city centre in the Dapperbuurt, a quiet neighbourhood with a very cosmopolitan community. You will find travelling into the centre from here extremely easy as there are good transport links at the end of the street, just 3 minutes’ walk away. Here you can jump on any tram heading to Central Station taking around 7 minutes depending on traffic. You can also walk to the centre in around 10 minutes.

    The Dappermarkt, a local city market and of course the name of the apartment is a place where you can purchase all kinds of wonderful items from all over the world. From delicious food ingredients to handicrafts and clothing – it’s all here. It was recently voted as one of the “top 10 markets in the world” by a leading travel journal. The district is also the birthplace of one of Holland’s most popular artists, Karrel Appel.

    Head into the city passing the wonderful Artis Zoo and Aquarium, then past the Botanical Gardens (Hortus Botanicus) and on to the famous Waterlooplein Flea Market. Here you can purchase just about anything. A great place for photo opportunities and to pick up something unusual as a souvenir of your trip to Amsterdam. “Seek and you shall find” is the rule of thumb here – it’s up to you to rummage through the great piles of vintage clothes and boxes of unusual items to find your treasure!
