  • This Amsterdam accommodation is situated in the east of the city, in a peaceful district outside of the city centre. Entrance to the central canal belt is simple, with the surprising compactness of the capital enabling most points of interest to be reached by foot.  For example, a relaxing stroll towards Dam Square will reward you with an authentic appreciation of Amsterdam life, and will guide you past many an intriguing attraction, including the enlightening Tropical Museum, the ancient Artis Zoo and the popular Hortus Botanical Gardens. The journey should take less than forty minutes on foot or alternatively you can access the centre via the nearby tram number nine. The most efficient way to traverse the capital, however, is by bicycle. Completely immerse yourself in Dutch culture and take advantage of the some 400km cycle lanes, with an abundance of hiring stations offering a unique and refreshing approach to discovering the city.


    After all that exercise, you may wish to stop and enjoy a freshly brewed beer, with no better place to choose than the Ij Brewery, located just ten minutes walk from your apartment. Situated in a former bathhouse, next to the delightful De Gooyer windmill, this charming pub provides a great range of organic beers in a friendly and jovial atmosphere. A guided tour takes place every Friday including tastings, which is completely free of charge.
