The Excotica apartment is a spacious three bedroom apartment situated in an historical building. It’s located in the city centre and only a minute away from the Red light district and Newmarket. This magnificent apartment is situated on the third floor of a historical Amsterdam building and consists out of three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The living room is spacious and bright because of the large typical Dutch windows and has access to a private balcony. On the wooden floors are elegant sofas with a coffee table creating a nice corner to relax or watch TV from. Furthermore you will find a dining table for six and a designer kitchen that is fully equipped to serve all of your cooking needs. Entering the master bedroom brings you in a bright and comfortable room equipped with a large double bed and a walk in closet for storing your clothes. There is a bedroom with two single beds and one with one single bed. For the sixth guest there is a sleeping space in the living room. Its location is truly unique. Located in the Monnikenstraat, meaning Monk Street, you are literally right in between in the Red light district and the Newmarket. The Red light district offers you scenery unique in the world and an interesting atmosphere. Being one of the most safe places in the city and very lively around the clock it will be hard to get bored here. On the other side is the Newmarket, a historically interesting place. In the middle of the square stands a building called the ‘Waag’. Once a city gate with defensive proposes but because of city expansion it became obsolete for that purpose. It was then turned into the ‘Waag’, a place of commerce. Before the Second World War the Newmarket was the centre of the Jewish neighborhood. Now it’s connected to Amsterdam’s China Town and is home of a large variety of Asian restaurants, supermarkets and other shops. At night many bars and restaurants can be found in this area, making it lifely and full of entertainment. And with an eye on history the Jewish Historical museum and the Rembranthuis can be found on a walking distance away.
