The Iris 3 North Apartment is located just a few minutes’ walk away from the wonderful Waterlooplein Flea Market where you can find just about anything if you look hard enough. The area, known as the Plantage, is very leafy with interesting architecture and lots of history. The entrance to Artis Zoo is just a few minutes’ walk away. Meanwhile you will also find the Hortus Botanicus (botanical gardens), historic monuments, parks and numerous popular theatres and museums nearby.
Wander in to the centre via the Jodenbreestraat and you will come to Nieuwmarkt, one of the oldest parts of the city. On the picturesque town square regular markets are held every weekend selling antiques, fashion, crafts, books and local farmers’ produce.
