Bright, fresh, modern and immaculately presented, the 2-bedroom Laurus 1 apartment for up to 4 guests has everything to make your short stay in Amsterdam absolutely perfect.
This outstanding holiday home is fitted with all the modern comforts you would expect to find at home. Large windows let in lots of natural daylight, whilst the white walls and brightly coloured furnishings create a real sense of space. The apartment has been lovingly renovated and includes wooden flooring throughout. Relax together after a day out exploring the city on the large comfy sofas. Kick off your shoes and make yourself comfortable and enjoy the flat screen TV also provided for your entertainment. To the side lies an excellent open kitchen fitted with all the equipment you will need to prepare your own meals during your stay. Enjoy mealtimes together at the stylish dining table and chairs. Take the stairs up to the two bedrooms which are beautifully decorated in simple creamy colours to ensure a good night’s sleep. You will find comfortable double beds, bedside tables, mood lighting and good storage furniture for your clothes and belongings. The apartment has its own private and extremely stylish bathroom fitted with a toilet, sink and shower.

The Laurus 1 apartment is located in the stunning and vibrant Jordaan district. The area is alive with beautiful 17th century architecture and fairytale canals. Enjoy a leaisurely walk exploring the area at your own pace. You will find traditional Dutch cafes, chic international boutiques, vintage clothes shops, antique stores and unique curiosity shops here.
Walk clockwise or northwards along the Prinsengracht a few minutes and you will arrive at the delightful Westermarkt area. This is the home of Holland’s most visited museum, the Anne Frank House. Over a million visitors come to visit the tiny rooftop annexe where Anne, her family and friends’ hid from the Nazi regime during the war. You are able to climb through the secret doorway into their hide-away as well as see Anne’s actual diary and notes. The museum offers an insight into the history of ‘tolerance’ around the world and encourages visitors to consider their own actions in the future. An enlightening, moving and thought provoking experience for visitors of all ages. Walls are thin -- light sleepers should take the back room. There was a smell of cigarette smoke that we couldn't tell was from a neighbor or previous inhabitant.
