You will find the Keizer Suite apartment located on the beautiful Keizersgracht, one of the great canals that famously loop the old city centre. They are known locally as the Grachtengordel or the Canal Belt. Quintessentially classic Amsterdam, the canals are lined with stylish 18th and 19th century tall canal houses, pretty houseboats and trees. This is certainly one of the most upmarket and popular districts in the city and surprisingly one of the most quiet, considering you are in the very centre of a capital city.
The apartment is situated on the corner of the charming Utrechtstraat which is famous for its pretty boutiques, laid back cafes and curiosity shops. You can catch any number of trams into the city centre from here taking only minutes to reach Central Station
For an interesting afternoon excursion take a tram out of town or wander south on foot towards the Stadhouderskade and follow the road east a few minutes to reach the extremely popular Heineken Experience. Here you can learn all about the history of Holland's most famous export and even have your own name or a message printed on to your very own Heineken bottle label.
A few minutes south, behind the museum, lies the vibrant neighbourhood known as de Pijp which is home to the famous Albert Cuypstraat market. Here you can purchase just about anything and it’s also an excellent place to pick unusual cooking ingredients for cooking with in the apartment. The market attracts some 20,000 visitors every day so be prepared to push your way through the crowds and of course keep your hands firmly on your wallet and valuables.Location - Area: Canal Belt, 9 Streets, Dam Square, Plantage District, Amstel, Rembrandt Square
