  • Situated in the leafy Plantage district, this Amsterdam accommodation grants its guests an authentic Dutch experience, benefitting from local amenities and the wealth of nearby attractions. The apartment is actually nestled between the popular Artis Zoo, which dates as far back as 1838 and is actually one of the oldest zoos in Europe, and the equally historic Hortus Botanical Gardens. Established in the early 17th century as a garden for cultivating medicinal herbs, this fascinating centre now commands an expansive area and is home to more than 4,000 plant species, boasting attractive and informative displays. There is even a tropical butterfly house, always popular with younger members of the family, and a delightful cafe complete with a generous outdoor terrace, wonderfully positioned in the recently renovated Orangery.


    Also close by is the vibrant Rembrandtplein, located on the opposite bank of the picturesque Amstel River.
