As the name suggests, this Amsterdam accommodation resides opposite the 17th century Noorderkerk or Northern Church, which is still operating as an active place of worship. This historic piece of architecture inhabits a quaint square that hosts a small but lively organic farmer’s market. This is the ideal locale to sample authentic Dutch cuisine and immerse yourself in the friendly and laid back atmosphere.
The Jordaan district itself is absolutely beautiful, and a short stroll through the picturesque canals, illuminated bridges and delightfully crooked buildings simply cannot fail to impress you. Some of the capital’s finest restaurants are to be found here too, plus a fantastic assortment of cosy cafes and jovial bars. Also within walking distance is the recently opened Amsterdam Tulip Museum, the tranquil setting of the Westerpark and the legendary Anne Frank House. Both Central Station and the focal point of Dam Square are reachable in less than fifteen minutes on foot, enabling easy and direct access to the airport and to Amsterdam’s Royal Palace. Simply known as The Dam, this vibrant square is flooded with tourists on a daily basis and marks the entrance to the notorious Red Light District.Location - Area: Jordaan, Canal Belt, 9 Streets, Dam Square, Red Light District
