  • This Amsterdam apartment is located in the old south district of the capital, primarily an affluent, residential neighbourhood, nestled between the Vondelpark and the Museum Quarter. The accommodation resides in Cornelis Schuytstraat, which in itself boasts a number of fantastic amenities, such as authentic cafes, exclusive boutiques and eclectic restaurants, with this area enjoying a village like atmosphere that you are certain to fall in love with.


    Conveniently positioned less than 500 metres from your doorstep lies Amsterdam’s premier park, the Vondelpark. Originally opened in 1865, this natural space commands 120 acres and receives an impressive ten million visitors per year. This extensive area is home to children’s playgrounds, an open air theatre, and a selection of cosy cafes, including the charming Blue Teahouse. This 1930s circular building serves food and drinks in a relaxed environment, with a large outdoor terrace receiving swarms of guests during the warm summer months.

     

    Dam Square and the capital’s historic city centre can be easily accessed by either tram number two or sixteen, each tram stop just a minute’s walk away. The journey takes around twenty minutes, or alternatively, a pleasant stroll will guide you past a feast of interesting attractions and deposit you in Dam Square in less than forty minutes.

    Elegant apartment in a beautiful location a block from Vondelpark. A gorgeous and large rear balcony as well as french doors opening to a small balcony on the street make for a charming stay and the neighbors make you feel like a local!

    This is a comfortable and spacious apartment in a great location. The local area is very pleasant to explore and has a great selection of local shops (careful, some of the shops are very expensive but the quality is very high indeed), it is also very easy to reach with a short tram journey from central amsterdam. The location is away from the busy center of amsterdam which makes for a pleasant stay, it is also very close to the vondelpark and museum district. There is no wi-fi and some of the appliances could perhaps use an upgrade, however the apartment itself is a great place to stay. Only downside is noise coming through the ceiling from the upstairs apartment, but it's no problem once you get used to it. One great thing about this apartment is the dining table and six chairs which give you the option of eating there with friends rather than having to eat out, this is especially good as amsterdam is generally not great for restaurants in terms of quality and value.

    The staff was Very nice and helpful, the appartment is in a very quiet zone but very close walking or via TRAM from most of Amsterdam's attractions, it is fully equipped, beds and pillows are very good. It's very clean. The bathroom has shower and bathtub appart from the toilet. We had a great time and would definetely recommend this appartment to our friends.

    4 day, short stay visit to Amsterdam and stayed in the Vondelpark region. While outside the hub bub of the city centre, this area was quiet, clean and safe. Tram service is excellent so you don't feel like you are loosing out on anything. Apartment was excellent, clean, quiet and sufficent space for 4 adults. The added bonus of tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries etc was superb. Wonderful local feeling to the area, cafes, bars, fashion shops, florists, greengrocers etc etc

    We took the apartment in the Old South looking for a different experience of Amsterdam. The Location was perfect as was the apartment and any questions issues raised during our stay were handled quickly and professionally. I'd definately recomend this Apartment to anyone wanting to see a more cultured side to Amsterdam
