The exceptionally stylish 2-bedroom Prins Charles holiday apartment sleeps up to 5 guests in the lap of luxury. Located just opposite Central Station it makes the perfect base for your stay in Amsterdam.
Measuring an incredible 120 square metres this immaculately dressed holiday apartment packs some serious style. Light wooden flooring and an unfussy neutral colour scheme give the apartment an air of sophistication. Traditional architectural features remain including exposed wooden ceiling beams, fireplaces and ornate wall moldings. In the living area you can relax on the giant sofa and enjoy the international channels on the flat screen Television. Next door, through the large archway you will find a bedroom with two single beds whilst the second bedroom has three single beds that can be arranged in whatever grouping suits your guests. In the sleek modern kitchen you will find everything required for making meals for you and your guests and you can enjoy dinner together at the attractive dining table and chairs. Large windows throughout the apartment provide lots of light and a huge mirror above the fireplace in the living area creates the illusion of even more space. There is one private bathroom in the apartment fitted with bath, shower, wash basin and toilet.
The apartment is located in the very centre of the city across the road form Central Station itself. You will have a huge choice of public transport from the usual trams, buses, trains and the Metro to the more unexpected choice of passenger ferries and segway scooters. You may of course choose to ‘go native’ and hire bicycles.

The apartment building is opposite NEMO, the Amsterdam Science Centre. Designed like the bow of a ship rising up out of the water, it’s become a well loved landmark of Amsterdam. In the summer months you can climb aboard and join local Amsterdamers sunbathing on the roof or ‘deck’. Inside you can explore the wonderful world of science and technology in a fun and interesting way. Exhibitions here are interactive. The museum makes it very clear that you CAN touch the exhibits!
Why not visit the nearby Amsterdam Library. It’s not just about books. With free access to the internet and printing facilities it’s the ideal place to print out boarding passes or documents should you need them. The library was only recently opened and it is certainly worth a look if only to see the futuristic design of the interior. Bright, white and very shiny with comfortable ‘pod seating’ and Apple computers, you could be forgiven for thing king that Steve Jobs was the architect.
The apartment is located in the oldest part of Amsterdam. Behind the apartment you will find New Market, knownlocally as Nieuwmarkt.On the picturesque town square regular markets are held every weekend selling everything from antiques, fashion, crafts and collectable books to local farmer’s produce.
You are also on the very edge of the world famous Red Light District. It is a fascinating area to explore at night when the streets really come to life and the neon lights reflect atmospherically in the water of the canals.
