You are sure to fall in love with the exposed wooden ceiling joists and large windows which give the apartment a very romantic feel. In the living area you will find a huge L-shaped sofa, ideal for relaxing on after long days out exploring the city. It conveniently converts into a double bed for two of your guests. From here you can also watch the provided flat-screen TV. International channels are available to watch. The kitchen is open and modern and has all the necessary equipment for making your own meals. You can enjoy breakfast together at the stylish dining table and chairs. The bedroom has two single beds that can be pushed together if required and attractive storage furniture for all your clothes and essential travel items. The apartment has its own private bathroom fitted with wash basin, shower, bath and toilet.
Located just across the road form Central Station you have a wealth of transport options for getting around the city including trams, buses, ferries, segway scooters and of course the city’s number one choice, the bicycle. You can hire bicycles from the front of the station by the hour, day, weekend, or week. Fees are very reasonable.

The apartment sits opposite the majestic Central Station. From here you can explore the city on foot easily with most major visitor attractions close by. Perhaps closest is NEMO, the Amsterdam Science Centre. You can see it from the front of the apartment. It rises out of the water like the bow of a ship. It’s become a well loved land mark of Amsterdam. In the summer months you can climb aboard and join local Amsterdamers sunbathing on the roof or ‘deck’. It also has incredible views of the city. Inside you can find out all about the amazing world of science and technology. Information is provided in a fun and interactive way. The museum has a very strict ‘DO touch’ policy for its exhibits!
The apartment is located in the oldest part of Amsterdam, on the edge of New Market, known locally as Nieuwmarkt. On the charming town square regular markets are held every weekend selling everything from collectable books, records, vintage fashion and handicrafts to local farmer’s produce.
You are also on the very edge of the world famous Red Light District. Don’t be afraid to explore the streets, it is considered to be a very safe place these days. It is certainly a fascinating area to visit at night when the streets really come to life and the neon lights reflect atmospherically in the water of the canals. Please understand it is not allowed to take photos of the windows, no matter how tempting.
