Founded in 1612 as an area to accommodate the city’s labour force, the Jordaan has developed into one of the most sought after districts in the capital, characterised by picturesque canals and striking 17th century architecture. This Amsterdam apartment is located on one of the major canals of the city, home to numerous exclusive restaurants, authentic cafes and lively bars. Directly opposite your accommodation lies The Pancake Bakery, an ideal choice if you want to try something typically Dutch. Also just a short stroll away is the Northern Church, a historic piece of architecture that inhabits a quaint square. On Mondays and Saturdays, this charming plaza hosts a small but animated organic farmer’s market, a perfect locale for sampling authentic Dutch cuisine and immersing yourself in the friendly and laid back atmosphere.
Also within easy reach is the poignant and legendary Anne Frank House, the central focal point of Dam Square, and Amsterdam’s Central Station, enabling easy and direct access to the airport and the rest of the Netherlands.Location - Area: Jordaan, Canal Belt, 9 Streets, Dam Square, Red Light District

Rate: 10 Excellent location, clean & very pretty. An excellent base to explore Amsterdam.rosemaryRate: 9 in a nice part of town.be prepared for a short walk from the station to the appartment.only access to toilet through bedroom so if there is four of you know each other well! be fit because the stairs are quite steep up to the appartment but its nice and clean when you get there.Easy acces to most of main attractions and on the canalside.plenty places to eat and drink nearby.JosefRate: 9 You wake up in your bed with the sun in your face, look out through the open balcony-door through which you get fresh, clean air, and see Amsterdam - a Gracht with houseboats, a bridge being crossed by cyclists, trees lining the Gracht, old Dutch houses, smal shops. A picture in your mind, a special atmosphere and a feeling to be remembered - a very good feeling.
All this was only possible through this house, where we felt at home. Nothing was left to be desired from our side. Ok, the wooden floor boards where used in places - that is a living house! - and that only contributes to the special atmosphere as well as the quite steep stairs (not recommended for elderly people with fear of height). And you have to have slept as well in the second sleeping room - you can't go higher, directly under the roof.
If you want to feel, you are really living in Amsterdam - this is the place to go.
We will return in summer to enjoy this again.TraceyRate: 8 Great for sight seeing but bring good walking shoes has its easy to walk miles while looking around. Fab bakery across the bridge for your morning pasteris. And the two local bars are very welcoming and cheap beer.JoanRate: 9 THE STAFF AT AMSTERDAMN APARTMENTS WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ANSWERED ALL INQUIRIES VERY QUICKLY. THE CHECK-IN PROCESS WAS VERY SMOOTH AND THERE WERE MANY OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO GET THE KEY TO THE APARTMENT. THE APARTMENT ITSELF WAS VERY COZY AND WARM, CLEAN, AND WELL-EQUIPED. THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT - THE JORDAAN NEIGHBOURHOOD IS SO LOVELY AND TRANQUIL. LOTS OF GOOD RESTAURANTS AND BARS BUT QUIET AT NIGHT. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT. - « go back
