The 2-bedroom Prinsengracht Luxury Apartment sleeps up to 4 guests in stunning comfort. This spectacular apartment is surely one of the most elegant and enchanting holiday homes for hire in the city.
Divided on two levels, downstairs you will find a lovely big living room with windows at either end filling the space with natural light. The apartment has been renovated sympathetically in keeping with the property’s history and you are sure to fall in love with the sloping walls and exposed wooden ceiling joists. There’s a large comfy armchair and a huge L-shaped sofa for relaxing together after a long day out exploring the city. Sit back and enjoy the flat screen TV also provided here. In the beautiful open kitchen area you will find everything you need to prepare your favourite meals. There’s also a stylish big dining table and six chairs to make mealtimes that bit more sociable. The upper floor is accessed by some fairly steep and open stairs meaning the apartment may not be suitable for very young children or elderly visitors. The bedrooms are remarkably enchanting. Since the apartment is at the very top of the building you will be sleeping in the eves. More exposed timber roof beams create an incredibly traditional and romantic ambience. There are even chandeliers hanging form the ceiling! The two bedrooms are fitted with a double bed in one and two singles in the other. You will also find a cleverly designed bathroom up here which is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and sink.

The Prinsengracht Luxury Apartment is located, as the name would suggest, on the most famous of all Amsterdam canals, the Prinsengracht itself.
Take the five minute walk to the end of the street, crossing over the charming Reguliersgracht and you will see that the canal actually emerges into the stunning River Amstel. Turn left and follow the river north for two minutes and you will arrive at the beautiful Skinny Bridge which famously features in the classic 1971 James Bond film Diamonds are Forever.
Cross over the bridge and head into town on the other side of the river. You will pass the fascinating Hermitage Museum where you can see some amazing Russian art and learn all about Dutch/Russian historic relations. Eventually the river leads you alongside the Waterlooplein, home to Amsterdam’s most famous Flea Market. Here you can try your hand at haggling with the stall-holders to secure a bargain. Don’t be afraid to rummage amongst the boxes of bric-a-brac and piles of vintage clothing to find some hidden treasure. Some of the most surprising items can be found for sale here and it’s an ideal location for unusual photo opportunities.
Getting to and from Central Station with heavy luggage is a breeze since you can jump on any tram from nearby Vijzelgracht, just two minutes’ walk away.
