Prinses D. Apartment Amsterdam
-
The Prinses D 2-bedroom apartment sleeps up to 5 guests comfortably. This spectacular apartment is surely one of the most elegant and enchanting apartments for hire in the city.
Divided into two levels, downstairs you will find a lovely bright living room with a large fire surround in keeping with the property’s history. There’s a large comfy armchair and a huge L-shaped sofa. Ideal for watching the flat screen TV provided. In the open kitchen area you will find everything you need to prepare your favourite meals. There’s also a stylish dining table to make mealtimes that bit more sociable. The upper floor is accessed by some fairly steep stairs meaning the apartment may not be suitable for very young children or elderly visitors. The bedrooms are remarkable and enchanting. Since the apartment is at the very top of the building you will be sleeping in the eves. Beautiful exposed timber roof beams create an incredibly traditional and romantic ambience. There are bedrooms, one with 3 single beds and the other with two. Feel free to rearrange them to suit your guests. Large light windows and wooden flooring make the apartment fresh and inviting.
The Prinses D apartment is situated almost directly opposite Central Station. You could not imagine a better holiday home location your visit to Amsterdam.

You will find the Princes D apartment opposite Central Station making it ideal for business and leisure travellers needing quick and easy access to the airport. The station is also home to all public transport links. At the back of the station you can take the ferry for free across the River Ij and explore Amsterdam North. Alternatively why not hire bicycles for the day or even the whole week and experience the city form a whole new perspective. Cycling in Holland and Belgium is considerably safer than in any other European countries since the cities are designed with bicycles in mind. 99% of all major roads in Amsterdam have dedicated cycle lanes meaning you have little contact with cars. It is of course still necessary to give way to traffic (and other cyclists) when necessary. Bicycles do not rule the roads…yet.
An enjoyable walk in the city is to follow the canal rings from one side of the city to the other. Make sure you explore the nine parallel streets that link the canals. They are filled with interesting antique shops, boutiques and cafes offering local and international treats. At the north end of the Prinsengracht you will find the charming Westermarkt district. This is the home of Holland’s most visited museum, the Anne Frank House. You can learn about Anne and her family and friends’ lives in the tiny rooftop annexe where they hid form the Nazi regime during the war. You are able to climb through the secret doorway into their hide-away as well as see Anne’s actual diary and notes. The museum offers an insight into the history of ‘tolerance’ around the world and encourages visitors to consider their own actions in the future. An enlightening, moving and thought provoking experience for visitors of all ages. Since the museum is extremely popular all year round it is advisable to get there as early as possible in order to avoid the extremely long queues that occur particularly in the summer months.Location - Area: Canal Belt, Dam Square, Red Light District, Rembrandt Square
