This Amsterdam apartment affords the luxury of an authentic, charming neighbourhood combined with close proximity to the historic city centre and a host of prime attractions. Overlooking the sublime waters of the Oosterdok, the list of nearby things to do and see is seemingly endless. Firstly, the harbour itself is a picturesque place to enjoy a stroll and perhaps to experience a fun filled day at the beloved Nemo Science Centre. This striking landmark is designed in the shape of a giant green ship bursting out of the water and houses a truly fascinating museum that focuses on interactive education, always a winner with younger members of the family. Next to Nemo lies the National Maritime Museum, which has recently undergone a dramatic modernisation. The exhibition consists of a mammoth building that houses a rich and colourful collection of maritime artefacts, and an impressive replica of the “Amsterdam”, an immense vessel that sank in a storm in the English Channel during the 18th century. This wonderful attraction offers an interesting glimpse of Dutch history and culture, adored by adults and children alike.
This Amsterdam accommodation is also close to the city centre, with the notorious Red Light District and the vibrant Rembrandtplein just a ten minute walk away, providing a wealth of bars, restaurants and nightclubs to suit every discernible taste.Location - Area: Dam Square, Plantage District, Red Light District, Rembrandt Square

Rate: 8 The apartment was roomy with some lovely big opening windows, quiet and clean
It was a good walk to the busiest areas of central Amsterdam but easily reachable by foot if you don't mind a walk
We were met at the apartment and the person who met us showed us several places we might want to visit on a map
We had a lovely weekend and would return to these apartments again
Some of the furniture was a little worn but clean and usable - « go back
