The Old Harbour G Apartment is part of a recent heritage building redevelopment at Amsterdam's historic Oosterdok port. Within walking distance of central station and the historic city centre, this one bedroom short stay apartment features a spacious living area, fantastic water views and an open plan kitchen.
This stylish apartment benefits from large windows allowing in plenty of natural light, classic high ceilings and wooden floors throughout. The spacious living area includes a comfortable sofa bed, audio-visual equipment, a dining table that seats four and a fully equipped, modern open plan kitchen. Elsewhere in the apartment is a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with shower and bathtub and a separate toilet located in the hallway. Located within walking distance of the old city centre and central station, this apartment is perfect for small groups or business travellers looking for central accommodation with fantastic water views.

Just 7 minutes on foot from central station, the apartment is ideally located right near the centre of Amsterdam. The Oosterdok is currently in the process of redevelopment with new buildings of great architectural value popping up along the IJ river, namely the Amsterdam Library and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, home to the famous Jazz Venue Bimhuis. The apartment is also close to a number of important museums and tourist attractions including Nemo, the National Maritime Museum, Rembrandt House, Nieuwmarkt square, the Red light District and China Town. The central location makes it easy to get to anywhere in Amsterdam either on foot or by public transport.

The apartment was a good price so I wasn't expecting very much when I got there but it was lovely. There was tea and coffee provided and even a bottle of rose! The apartment was in good condition and situated in an ideal location.Murat CanRate: 10 Don't get misleaded with location not being in the exact center of "sin world" of the city, first of all a 10 minutes walk is always good to get refreshed with a fresh air before entering the chaos of red light district, whereas it's excellent to enjoy your walk with a joint, anyway in those 10 mins.
Location is just awesome, since it makes really difficult to get lost, even if you're under the effects of multiple heavy drugs at the same time, you still can tell to a taxi driver to drive you to central station and you will find your apartment by following the shore and some enormous hotels and ships, as well.
Last remark about location is that it provides you to opportunity not to waste entire your stay in red light district and coffee shops, but it also gives you to opportunity to discover more fine neighborhoods, such as Rembrandtplein and Leitzeplein, the two neighborhoods i like most. I mean, this was my 3rd time Amsterdam and I stayed in the middle of tourist flow in my first two times, it was great just to go to downstairs for couple minutes, buy anything you want, but I still and obviously will try to rent a place around Old Harbour, if I hopefully can return to Amsterdam.
Btw, there is a sufficiently big supermarket in 3-4 minutes walk from home.
Interior design was really comfortable, the kitchen appliances were far better then our expectations. I won't say wireless connection was the best I've worked with, but it rarely caused trouble and other audio visual equipment was sufficient. - « go back
