AmsterdamApartments.com is an accommodation booking website. We offer high quality, fully furnished and equipped apartments for short stays in Amsterdam’s most popular neighborhoods.
Q. How do I find the most suitable apartment for my stay?
Each apartment has its own specific combination of location and layout, and has a maximum number of people it can cater for. Consider the size of your group and personal preferences for style and city district. Then scroll down the summaries on the apartment page to see what fits your needs. You can view more details by clicking on each apartment’s tab.

Q. How do I make a booking?
Having found your apartment, click on the “Book now” button and proceed to the two checkout pages. The first is for your personal and payment details, while the second offers an overview of your booking. After reviewing the terms and conditions of the apartment provider, you can then confirm your booking. A booking confirmation will be sent by e-mail, the invoice and the terms and conditions of the apartment provider included as an attachment.
Q. Do I pay AmsterdamApartments.com anything?
No. AmsterdamApartments.com is an independent booking agent and does not charge the customer for its service. AmsterdamApartments.com’s fees are paid by the apartment provider.
Q. How do I pay for the booking I made at AmsterdamApartments.com?
During the booking process you provide us with your credit card details. This guarantees your booking. On the booking date AmsterdamApartments.com then charges a certain percentage of the total costs as down payment on behalf of the apartment provider (percentage varies per provider and can be checked in their terms and conditions). The balance due can then be paid prior to or on arrival in Amsterdam.
Q. Is it possible to pay the balance before arriving in Amsterdam?
Yes. You can contact the apartment provider to clear your balance before arriving in Amsterdam.
Q. What kind of credit cards are accepted?
AmsterdamApartments.com accepts Visa, MasterCard and Amex.
Q. What does the apartment provider do with my credit card details?
The apartment provider only uses your credit card details to take payment for the apartment rental and any extra services you use during your stay. All payment details are destroyed 4 weeks after your check out date.
Q. Is a deposit required?
Yes. The apartment provider will place a reservation of a certain amount on a guest’s credit card at check-in (the exact amount can be found in the terms and conditions of the apartment provider). The reservation will be released on the conditions that you have left the apartment in a good condition, returned the keys and no disturbance has occurred.
Q. Is it possible to pay the rental balance and deposit in cash rather than with a credit card?
It is possible, although the apartment provider will prefer payment by credit card for security reasons.
Q. Where can I find the terms and conditions of the apartment provider?
Having selected your apartment and chosen the dates, the terms and conditions appear at the bottom of the booking details block on the far right hand side.
Q. How do I alter an existing booking?
You can alter your booking by contacting customer support. They will try to accommodate any possible changes, although this will depend on availability.
Q. How do I cancel an existing reservation?
You can cancel your booking by contacting the apartment provider directly. In every case the down payment is non-refundable. Extra cancelation fees will apply depending on the period of notice for cancellation given. These will be specified in the terms and conditions of the apartment provider, displayed at the time of booking.
Q. What will happen if I do not use the apartment and fail to cancel the booking?
This is a “no show”. The full balance will be charged.

Q. How do I check in?
Depending on your time of arrival and personal preferences, you can check-in either at the apartment provider's office or at the apartment itself. Please note that not all apartment providers have the option of checking in at their office. For others a check-in at the apartment itself costs extra. This varies per provider. The details of the check-in procedure can be found in the terms and conditions of the apartment provider.
Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?
Normal check-in time is from 14.00 till 22.00, for early or late check-ins surcharges will apply, which are stated in the terms and conditions of the apartment provider Normal check-out at 11.00. As this can vary depending on the apartment provider, please be sure to check the details in their terms and conditions at the time of booking. They can also be found on the confirmation page and attached to the confirmation email.
Q. What are the seasonal rate periods on AmsterdamApartments.com?
At AmsterdamApartments.com we work with three different seasonal rate periods:
- High season: From April to the end of September.
- Mid season: March, October and November.
- Low season: December to the end of February.
Depending on availability, rates can also be lowered or raised during these periods.
Q. Is the rate per person or per apartment?
All rates are per apartment.
Q. Are there any other additional charges or taxes involved?
Additional charges depend on any extra services you wish to book. The taxes applied are 6% VAT and 5% tourist tax, which will be shown on the confirmation page of the website.
Q. Is breakfast included in the rate?
Breakfast is not included and at the moment unavailable. All apartments are self-catering.
Q. Are there any child fees?
There are no fees for children. You pay per apartment and may stay with any number of persons up to the maximum allowed.
Q. Are baby beds or cots available?
Most apartment providers can provide you with baby beds or cots. For some this is free of charge, yet for others there are additional costs attached. If you are interested in a baby bed or cot then please contact customer service. They can tell you if it's possible and if additional costs are required or not. Once you have confirmation from customer service that it's possible to get a baby bed or cot you can place this request in the comment box on the confirmation page when making the booking.
Q. Do apartment providers have minimum age requirements?
Yes. At least one person in your party must be 18 or over.

Q. Is there somewhere I can drop my bags if I arrive earlier than the agreed check-in time?
For some apartment providers it is possible to store your luggage at their office temporarily. To find out if this is possible please check their terms and conditions or contact our customer service. In case it is not possible you also have the option of storing your luggage in a locker at Amsterdam Central Station.
