Prinsengracht 969 studio Amsterdam

Located on the picture perfect canal Prinsengracht in the heart of the historical city centre, the stylish Prince 969 Studio Amsterdam makes a wonderful holiday hide away for two.

Prinsengracht 969 studio Amsterdam is situated within a traditional canal house and many of the original architectural features have been incorporated into the stylish refurbishment. Exposed wooden ceiling rafters and antique wooden panelling create a very warm and inviting ambience. New creamy white walls, tiled flooring and contemporary furniture marry surprisingly well with the old detailing and the result is an eclectic feast for the eye. The studio space is cleverly designed to create the most amount of living space. You will find a sofa and flat screen TV at one side of the room whilst alongside a small kitchenette area allows you to put together some simple meals. Enjoy them at the trendy breakfast bar which also provides a view outside through the eye level windows on to the street and canal.

The apartment features its own private bathroom suite cleverly built in the centre of the room and clad in reclaimed antique wood in keeping with the age of the building. This snug city pad makes an ideal alternative to renting a hotel room in the city and is so much more individual and private.

Location

The Prince 969 Studio Amsterdam apartment is located along the famous Prinsengracht Canal. This is one of four major waterways that encircle the historical city centre. Be sure to explore them at your leisure. The beautiful architecture of the iconic wonky buildings is breath taking and at night the little bridges light up atmospherically. Visit the close-by Museum Van Loon on the Keizersgracht and get a glimpse of the splendor of the Golden Age. The main canals are linked by nine narrow roads known collectively as the Nine Streets or Negen Straatjes. They are lined with a wonderful array of gift boutiques, antique shops, art galleries and delicious food establishments.

The apartment is perfectly located to enable you to easily access the city’s most popular visitor attractions. Take a stroll around the mile long Vondelpark which lies a few minutes’ walk to the west. Alternatively explore the city’s cultural hub, the Museum Square. With the Van Gogh Museum, Diamond Museum, Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk on your doorstep you won’t be short of things to do during your holiday. Don’t even think of trying to visit them all on the same day. Instead, why not take a break from all that art and enjoy some window shopping at the nearby upmarket P.C Hooftstraat or attend a concert, film or show at the Leidseplein entertainment area. You will find regular trams running to Central Station at Vijzelgracht, a street just a few minutes’ walk to the east of the apartment.
