The building itself is a converted warehouse dating back to 1643 and boasts many original features despite a major renovation to incorporate all the usual comforts of home. You will find authentic exposed wooden ceiling beams, wooden floorboards throughout and pretty shutters on the huge windows. The living room alone measures 80 square metres so there is plenty of room for everyone to relax here. Kick off your shoes and make yourselves comfortable on the huge L-shaped sofa and chair. Extra guests can also sleep here if necessary. A flat screen TV with lots of international channels is also provided here to keep everyone entertained. At one end of the room is an excellent fully fitted kitchen where you prepare all your favourite recipes from home or perhaps put together a picnic to take out with you on your daily adventures in the city. Make mealtimes that bit more sociable and of course comfortable by eating at the elegant dining table and chairs located alongside. The three bedrooms are fitted with a double bed in one room whilst the other two room has two singles each which can be positioned together to create doubles if required. All rooms feature excellent storage furniture and attractive ambient lighting. One of the rooms features the original warehouse loading bay doors which can open wide to allow fresh air in to the apartment. Please be aware that there is no safety rail here and for this reason this apartment is not recommended for children. The apartment also features three bathrooms with a combination of three toilets, two showers and a bath. Don’t miss the incredible balcony with beautiful views over the canal. Here you can enjoy a bottle of wine with your guests on a warm summer evening or a hot cup of coffee on a clear cool morning.

 

The Brewers Loft Apartment Amsterdam is perfectly located in the very heart of Amsterdam just a short walk to the west from Central Station. Nestled amongst the iconic tall and leaning canal side houses of the Canal Belt you are sure to fall in love with the romantic ambience and pretty foot bridges that light up at night time. There were plans at one time to demolish a large section of the neighbourhood to make way for an access road to the city. Plans were eventually scrapped following major protests. Thankfully today the entire city centre has been added to the UNESCO list of protected structures keeping it safe for future generations to enjoy.

Just a few seconds’ walk away at the end of the street lies the famous Harlemmerstraat where you will find boutiques, cafes, cheese shops, a Dutch bakery as well as unusual shops selling all kinds of quirky gifts to take home with you. This popular location was named the country’s best independent shopping street in 2011 and it’s easy to see why.
At the far end of Harlemmerstraat lies the wonderful Westerpark where you can enjoy large grassy open spaces, pretty water features and lots of trees. The park offers an immediate oasis of calm from the busy city. De Bakkerswinkel at the edge of the park is perfect for a delicious breakfast, or just a coffee and a muffin. For something more substantial head to Pacific Parc and Westergas-terras. The park even has a unique cinema showing primarily Dutch but also English films known as Het Ketelhuis. It is formed from an old gas station.

 
Since the apartment is so centrally located you will find the infamous Red Light District located just a short walk way across Damrak as well the city’s iconic Dam Square. Here you can enjoy a frothy coffee as you admire the human statues on the plaza and watch the world go by.
