Important information: Please note the pictures shown are not of this actual apartment. The pictures represent the Sarphatipark Apartment 16 Amsterdam which is in the same building and is of almost identical layout and furnishing pattern, so as to give a fair idea of the actual look of this particular apartment.
The privileged location of the apartment is sure to provide you with a range of great activities available in the charming district of De Pijp, also known as the Dutch Latin Quarter. With the river of Amstel and the Oosterpark to the east, the Europaplein and the RAI centre to the south, the Museumplein to the west and the Weteringschans to the north, you’ll never have enough of this lively city. Add to this the maze of lovely streets lined with picturesque traditional tenements alternating with more modern examples of architecture and a great access to public transport and you’ve got a recipe for a perfect stay.
Apart from the neighbouring Sarphatipark with tons of stimulating fresh greenery and a soothing pond in the centre and a breathtaking selection of fine restaurants, cafés, bars and coffee shops (like Cafe Sarphaat, Bazar Amsterdam, De Pijp, De Taart van m’n Tante, Aan de Amstel or Katsu), this area features also the vibrant Albert Cuypmarkt where you can buy a range of diverse products, including fresh food and exceptional clothes. Move further to the north and voila! – you’re at Marie Heinekenplein, the home to the famous Heineken Experience, as well as yet another group of great places to grab a snack, have a meal or enjoy a fine beverage.
It’s only enough to cross the western canal to reach the astonishing Museumplein. This place cannot be missed – if you find yourself in the presence of a big bathtub hovering over the area, then know that you’re right next to the Stedelijk Museum and this is only one of the several major museums that are to be discovered in the vicinity.
