This delightful 1-bedroom city pad is located just a short walk away from Central Station and close to Amsterdam’s famous Red Light District entertainment zone.
The apartment can provide accommodation for up to four guests. The décor is simple and creamy white providing that special minimalist clean style. The layout benefits your party perfectly allowing two guests to sleep in the upper mezzanine area upon a double bed and two more guests downstairs in the main living room area . Relax upon the comfy sofa bed and enjoy the large flat screen TV also provided here.
An outstanding kitchen is fitted with practical cooking equipment so you can easily whip up your favourite recipes. A dining table allows you to serve up in style. A private bathroom is also provided here with a sink, shower and toilet.
Important Information: Please note that these studios are located in a separate building adjacent to the small courtyard at the back of the main building. This building can only be reached through the main building and the courtyard, this route includes one flight of stairs to the lower ground level.
The apartment is perfectly centrally located just east of Central Station. You make your way there on foot with ease in a matter of minutes although if you are carrying heavy bags there are buses too. A major landmark right outside the apartment is the famous NEMO science museum where visitors with children are very much welcome. They have a definite ‘hands ON’ policy here and the demonstration and experiments are built very robustly so there’s no need to worry about kids breaking the displays. At the top of the building there’s a fantastic viewing deck where you can take in unmatchable panoramic views of the city.
The Plantage district is also just alongside and it’s home to not only the fantastic Artis Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in the world, but also the Amsterdam Botanical Gardens (Hortus Botanicus). The latter is an excellent place to visit if the weather is not good as it boasts massive greenhouses with tropical temperatures where you can walk among giant cacti and see plants with mammoth leaves. Outside you might even spot cannabis growing wild in the herbaceous borders. Please do not take any cuttings!
Dam Square, Damrak, the main strip from the station, the infamous Red Light District and the old market square in nearby Nieuwmarkt are all easy to reach on foot. China Town and the Amstel river are also great destinations to explore.
