Tropen Apartment 7

Tropen Apartment 7 is a bright and stylish 2-bedroom apartment that hosts up to four guests, perfectly located in the east of Amsterdam opposite the impressive building of the Tropenmuseum.

This delightful holiday home boasts
a white decor, wooden floorboards and ceiling beams. You are encouraged to relax here and the comfy sofa and TV will certainly help you wind down in style at the end of each day exploring the city. The excellent fully equipped kitchen area enables you to prepare favourite dishes from home at any time that suits you and your guests. Enjoy them served up together at the dining table and chairs alongside. The two bedrooms are decorated in an unfussy style to encourage restful sleep during your stay. There is a double bed in one room and two single beds in the second room. Meanwhile a modern private bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet.

Extra information: Because the apartment is situated on the 4th floor and only reachable by fairly steep stairs, it is less suitable for elderly or handicapped people.

Location

Just a short walk away from the historical city centre, located between the Artis Zoo and Oosterpark, this fantastic city pad makes a great choice for your holiday in Amsterdam. The tram almost passes the apartment itself and you can hop on or off at one of two close by stops. The apartment is located in an area known as the Dapperbuurt although it is also right on the cusp of the Plantage district. The latter is a very leafy open area with beautiful architecture and there’s the lovely Oosterpark close by just across the road. You will also find the Tropenmuseum less than one minutes’ walk away. Inside you will be treated to an informative and fascinating tour of a huge collection of non-western artefacts and cultural treasures.

The Dapperbuurt is particularly famous for its street market on the square Dapperplein. Indeed it was recently voted as one of the top ten markets in the world by National Geographic Traveller Magazine. It is also the birthplace of one of Holland’s favourite artists Karel Appel.
Make your way along the Plantage Middenlaan into town on foot or perhaps hire bicycles for your stay. Look out for the Hollandsche Schouwburg, until the Second World War a popular theatre. Today it is a war memorial, a place for reflection and features a small garden area at the rear, a huge wall of names and an eternal flame.
