This attractive 2-bedroom city apartment is located in the Old South district and can accommodate up to 4 guests in style.
Make yourselves comfortable in this beautiful, newly refurbished self-catering apartment. It makes a fantastic alternative to renting dusty old hotels in the city and of course you can eat breakfast or dinner at a time that suits you. You will find a well-designed fitted kitchen area with all the equipment you could need to magic up your favourite dishes from back home as well as a comfortable dining table and chairs.
In the main living room area you will find a big comfy sofa and a flat screen TV for you to enjoy when the city has exhausted you. Meanwhile two private bedrooms are attractively presented with a double bed in one room and two singles in the second. Also included in the apartment is a private bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet.
Please note, the apartment is located on the 3rd floor and unfortunately there is currently no lift therefore it may not be suitable for all guests.
The apartment has a fantastic location in the popular and vibrant neighbourhood of De Pijp located in the Old South neighbourhood. Take you pick from the iconic artistic and cultural hub of Museum Square to the west with its many world class galleries and museums or the extremely popular Heineken Museum which lies to the north. The latter takes you on a tour of the brewing processes of Holland’s most famous frothy brew and explains its history in an entertaining interactive fashion. There’s even a chance to purchase a bottle with your own name or unique message printed on the label – an ideal souvenir of your visit to Amsterdam.
Shopaholics will be in their element at the nearby Albert Cuypstraat Market. Attracting on average around 20,000 people every day you simply have to check it out for yourself. If you don’t find anything to buy you can certainly try the food options on offer. Classic Dutch delicacies are poffertjes (mini pancakes) served with butter and icing sugar are an absolute must whilst the more salty alternative, pickled herring, might not be to everyone’s taste.
Making your way to and from Central Station is a breeze since the apartment is served by an excellent tram service close by on Ceintuurbaan. You can also make your way into town on foot. We would recommend walking along the pretty Amstel Fiver northwards. Alternatively you might prefer hire bicycles during your holiday as it’s not only cheaper than public transport but also healthy and lots of fun!
