Situated at one end of the room by the entrance is a large comfortable double bed, while a generous size sofa, which also converts into a double bed, sits in the middle of the room. There is a flat screen TV for your entertainment and a charming garden furniture style dining table for four guests. The kitchen area is spacious and fully equipped with an oven, a microwave, a hob and everything else you would need to prepare a delicious meal. The remodelled bathroom is a delight with a decor of contrasting colours, a shower, a toilet and a designer washbasin. The general atmosphere of the apartment is relaxed with potted plants, tasteful lamps and a three quarter length mirror. Amenities include a dishwasher and the all-important hi-speed Internet connection. Located in a beautifully quiet part of the city with postcard style houses, this is a great base for you to enjoy Amsterdam.

Airport pickup and drop off can usually be organised for a fee each way for four people.

This apartment is situated in the North of Amsterdam, on the pretty Nieuwendammerdijk. It is one of the up and coming areas of Amsterdam – with an ever growing range of cafés and shops popping up daily. Separated from the rest of the city by the IJ river, it is just a short bus/bike ride away to get into the heart of Amsterdam. The bus travels through a tunnel under the river – or, if you chose to cycle, hop on the free ferry to take you across the water. You can be in the centre of town within 10 minutes!

If you have finished exploring the north, the Palace on Dam Square and the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street are also all just a short ride away. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. Just half an hour away is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks. Something for every taste!
