This apartment seemly breathes luxury. You are sure to fall in love with the exposed wooden ceiling joists and internal brickwork reminding you of the age of the building. Stunning parquet flooring flows throughout the apartment whilst modern and extremely stylish contemporary furniture fill space perfectly. This is a multi-level apartment featuring an upper mezzanine area too. Up here you will find a desk area, ideal if you are visiting on business, as well as a single sofa bed for the third guest.

Back downstairs you will find the bedroom kitted out with a comfy double bed and good storage for all your travel belongings. Stunning bed side lighting accentuates the beautiful head board design which boasts a very eastern flavour.

The main living area runs from the front to the back of the apartment and features lovely old style large windows providing lots of natural light. Relax on the extremely stylish designer chairs and enjoy watching the flat screen TV when the city has exhausted you all day. There’s a rather elegant dining table and chairs also provided here where you can serve up your own home made culinary creations prepared in the fantastic fitted kitchen alongside. The apartment also features a private bathroom fitted with a sink, shower, bath and toilet.

This outstanding holiday home has everything to make your holiday extremely special indeed and is so much more comfortable and sociable than hiring a dull hotel suite or room.

Please note that there are lots of stairs in the apartment therefore it may not be suitable for elderly visitors or families traveling with small children.

You will find the apartment located in the very heart of Amsterdam city centre along the beautiful Singel Canal. This is the most central of the four great waterways that loop around the old city centre which are known collectively as the Canal Belt. Be sure to explore the area in the night time as well as the day time as it’s extremely romantic with the street lamps reflecting in the water. The little bridges are also lit up prettily with fair lights. It’s incredible to learn that a large section of this area was once under threat of demolition relatively recently due to plans to create an access road into the city. Following the war large areas of the city fell into disrepair and of course many buildings were unclaimed as their owners had been removed and exterminated by the Nazis. Thankfully after much vociferous public opinion and many actual street battles the old city centre was largely saved, although many sections had already been bulldozed to make way for the new metro system sadly. Today the whole city centre is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage site and protected for future generations to enjoy.

Dam Square is only a short walk away from the apartment. It’s the very heart of the city and a great place to enjoy a coffee or cold beer and watch the world go by. Look out for the crazy human statues on the palace plaza.

Getting to and from Central Station is particularly easy. You can either wander up from the apartment on foot or simply hop on a passing tram at the adjacent Niewezijds Voorburgwaal. The journey really does only take a matter of minutes. If you are travelling with heavy luggage then it may of course be preferable.
