Up to 6 guests can holiday in absolute comfort in this truly outstanding city apartment located in the south of the city centre close to the River Amstel and beautiful Sarphatipark.
Cool white walls meet light wooden flooring to create a bright and welcoming holiday space for you and your guests. The main living area is a lovely long room with a sofa and seats at one end with windows looking out over the street below. Relax here after long days out exploring the city and rest those tired feet whilst watching the flat screen TV also provided. At the opposite end of the room you will find a dining tbale and chairs allowing everyone to enjoy mealtimes in comfort. You can prepare all your favourite meals in the excellent fitted ktichen area also provided. You can pick up all the ingredients locally at the market and convenience stores nearby. A doorway opens outside to reveal a small patio area where you could serve meals in the warmer months.
The aprtment has several sleeping space options. A separate bedroom has two single beds that can be pushed together if so required. The second sleeping space is secreted away ‘at the bottom of the garden’. Yes, at the far end of the patio lies a wooden hut in which two more single beds are located. There is also running water and heating provded here. It’s a wonderfully charming, completley enclosed space.
The apartment also features a private bathroom fitted with a shower, sink and toilet.
The apartment is located just few minutes’ walk away from the beautiful Sarphatipark where you can enjoy a delicious home prepared picnic or simply grab some peace and quiet with a good book in the warmer summer months. This is the southern end of the city centre on the edge of the famously energetic de Pijp district. Be sure to explore the city’s largest street market which is very close by called Albert Cuyp Markt. It attracts upwards of 20,000 people every day. You could pick up some delicious ingredients here for using back at home in your cooking as well as discovewr some unusual souvenirs of your visit to the city.
At the northern tip of the district sits the famous and ever-popular Heinekn Experience. A visit here promises to whisk you on a journey into the history of Holland’s most famous export and show you all the production stages of the frothy brew. You can even grab a taste of the final product. Most popular is the opportunity to purchase a bottle of the lager with a message of your choice or your name printed on the label.
The amazingly beautiful Amstel River is located to the immediate east of the apartment and following it north on foot is a great way to get into town. If you prefer to get around quicker then either hire bicycles for the duration of your stay (an idea that comes highly recommended to all of our visitors to the city) or simply hop on a tram at the nearby Ceintuurbaan. The journey to Central Station takes around 12 minutes, depending on traffic.
