Located in the pretty Nine Streets neighbourhood of Amsterdam’s central Canal Belt district, this fantastic 3-bedroom property has everything you need for your visit to Amsterdam.
Sleeping up to 6 guests in total, the apartment is ideal for a large family or group of friends visiting the city. The decor is creamy and white with light wooden floorboards under foot accentuating the sense of space here. Large windows allow lots of natural light throughout the apartment.
Make yourself comfy in the stylish living room area upon the large contemporary sofa and matching pouffe. Here you can relax with your fellow guests in the evenings and enjoy the flat screen TV also provided. A dining table and chairs alongside are ideal for serving up your own home prepared meals during your stay. Mealtimes are the perfect time to make plans together for tomorrow’s adventures in the city. A delightful fitted kitchen allows you to prepare all your favourite dishes from home with ease and you can always pick up fresh ingredients form local supermarkets.
The bedrooms are each presented with the same cool, restful creamy décor and fitted with a double bed in each. You will find lots of good storage furniture for your belongings as well as attractive mood lighting. The apartment also features 2 bathrooms fitted with two toilets, a bath and two showers.
Please note that the apartment is located on the 3rd floor of an old Amsterdam building and there is no lift. The stairs are fairly steep and narrow and for this reason the property may not be suitable for all visitors.
You will find the apartment perfectly located in the very heart of the city centre on one of the prettiest streets in town. This is one of nine narrow lanes that link up each of the major city canals in the Canal Belt district. They are somewhat boringly collectively known as the Nine Streets however they are packed with beautiful creative boutiques, fashion booths, antique stores, restaurants, cafes and lots of vintage clothing outlets. Look out for the fascinating curiosity shops too. This is the perfect place to pick up truly unique souvenirs of your holiday in the city.
Dam Square itself is barely a five minute walk away. It’s the perfect place to stop off for a delicious frothy Amsterdam coffee known locally as Koffie Verkeerd and enjoy a little people watching. The square is busy all day long with creative human statues, jugglers, magicians, escapologists and fire eaters entertaining the crowds. During national holidays the square is transformed into a fun fair. At the rear of the square stands the Royal Palace, the official place of residence for the King of the Netherlands when he is in town.
Barely a few minutes away to the south lies the fantastic floating Flower Market. Here you can purchase a broad variety of plants and seeds and the stall holders will happily arrange for tulip bulbs to be send home to loved ones abroad on your behalf. Can you imagine a more perfect souvenir of your holiday?
It’s perfectly easy to walk to the apartment form Central Station but regular trams also pass close by so that’s another option if you are travelling with heavy luggage.
