Have you ever dreamt of living on an Amsterdam houseboat? Make your fantasy reality at the fabulous 1-bedroom Mallees Houseboat Amsterdam which hosts up to 4 guests comfortably.
Inside this stunning watery holiday home you will find a well-designed compact living space featuring a lovely big sofa from where you can watch the flat screen TV also provided. There are lots of windows allowing glorious views of the canal whilst the wooden ceilings are attractively painted bright blue. Prepare your own tasty meals in the very homely kitchen which is equipped with everything you could need.
In the corner of the main living area you will find a comfortable double bed for two of your guests. Meanwhile 3 singles are located inside the sleeping area which also boasts a large mirrored wardrobe for all your clothes and belongings. A private bathroom is also provided with a shower, sink and toilet.
This exceptionally delightful holiday home makes the ideal choice if you are looking for a comfortably unusual alternative to renting traditional hotel rooms in the city.
The Mallees Houseboat Apartment can be found moored along a pretty and peaceful canal to the north of the famous Vondelpark just west of the Canal Belt district. Getting to and from Central Station is a breeze since you can hop on a tram at either nearby Bilderdijkstraat, Overtoom or Kinkerstraat, just a few minutes’ walk away. The tram journey takes around 10 minutes.
The Vondelpark is visited by over 10 million people every year, stretches a mile long and boasts lovely green open spaces, fountains and cafes. Why not explore the park on two wheels? You can easily pick up bicycles for everybody from any of the many cycle hire shops in the centre at very reasonable prices. The general pricing structure is that the longer you have the bicycles, the cheaper it becomes. Seeing the city on two wheels will give you a whole new perspective for your holiday.
Most of the city’s most popular landmarks are within easy walking distance. Head south to Museum Square where you will find the rather majestic Rijksmuseum which is packed to the rafters with fabulous Dutch treasures including many famous artworks. The Diamond Museum is just next door whilst the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk are located at the far end. The latter hosts some of the best examples of 20th century at including works by Warhol, Lichtenstein and Picasso.
At night time you might like to head over to nearby Leideseplein, possibly the city’s most popular entertainment area. It’s only a short walk away and is packed with bars, nightclubs, music venues and the Dutch/American comedy store Boom Chicago. Here you can enjoy the show whilst eating an evening meal. It can be tricky to eat and laugh at the same time however and there is the danger that the comedians will steal your chips.
