The main living area runs from the front of the building to the back and incorporates an attractive living room area fitted with a flat screen TV and two large sofas. There’s even a writing desk and chair in case you want to use a laptop or write a couple of postcards. An excellent sturdy kitchen table and benches provide the perfect place to enjoy a hearty home cooked breakfast or delicious dinner with your guests. You just have to decide who is going to do the cooking. A fully fitted kitchen is provided. Pick up delicious ingredients at the local convenience stores nearby.

The private bedrooms are beautifully appointed with simple neutral tones to encourage restful sleep, comfortable double beds, bed side lighting, wardrobes and skylight windows. The apartment also has a private bathroom fitted with a shower, sink and toilet.

You will find this fantastic apartment located in the very heart of the city just a few steps to the east of Central Station. This is a surprisingly quiet area and one of the most sought after neighbourhoods in the country. The tall leaning warehouses and pretty houseboats bobbing at the water’s edge have come to represent Amsterdam to many millions of people around the world. Look out for the brave heron that wander around the area, happily landing on car roofs, oblivious of the public passing by. They are particularly popular with photographers. 

The city’s infamous Red Light District is also only a short walk away. It’s a great place to investigate on an evening when the red neon lights illuminate the area and reflect atmospherically in the canals. It is regarded as a very safe place to wander around these days although it is absolutely not allowed to photograph the windows. If you ignore this advice the consequences will not be favourable!

Dam Square is but a short walk away, a place where you can grab a frothy coffee, known locally as a Koffie verkeerd, and watch the world go by. You will be mesmerised by the hundreds of bicycles, pigeons, street performers and tourists going about their daily business.
