Lijnbaans II Apartment Amsterdam

Located in the delightful Jordaan district within easy walking distance of most of the city’s most popular attractions, this beautiful 2-bedroom apartment sleeps up to 3 guests in style.

Inside you will find a neutral colour palette offering clean straight lines and chic contemporary furniture throughout. A main living room is equipped with a huge comfy sofa from where you can relax with your guests and enjoy the provided flat screen TV. The windows are floor to ceiling and offer a lovely view over the street below as well as lots of natural light.

A dining table and chairs allow everyone to enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast in comfort. You just have to decide who is going to do the cooking during your stay. The fully fitted kitchen has all the practical requirements for whipping up delicious fare. Purchase all your groceries locally from the nearby convenience stores.

The two bedrooms are fitted with a double bed in one room and a single in the second. Both rooms have excellent storage furniture for all your clothes and travel belongings as well as bed side lighting for reading.

A private bathroom is also provided in the apartment and is fitted with a bath, sink, toilet and washbasin.

Location

You will find the apartment located just west of the city centre a short walk away from Dam Square on the very inner edge of the beautiful Jordaan district. Be sure to explore this particularly popular neighbourhood during your stay. The pretty parallel streets are famous for their architecture and colourful floral window box displays.

Only a few minutes away to the south along the Prinsengracht, one of the city’s famous large canals, lies the Anne Frank House Museum. It is located at number 263 and is the address of the warehouse where Anne, her family and friends hid from the Nazis during the Occupation of the city. A visit to this most famous of Dutch residences is an extremely moving experience for many and it remains as popular as ever attracting more than a million people every year. You can wander throughout the building and learn about Anne’s short life and see her actual diary. The museum is dedicated to raising awareness about our notion of ‘tolerance’ and its application around the world. Be sure to book a timed ticket online in advance if you can to avoid the usual long queues that occur daily, particularly in the summer months.

Getting to and from Central Station is very easy since regular trams travel along the Marnixstraat which is close to the apartment. You can of course choose to walk instead or perhaps hire bicycles and see the city at a slightly faster, but not less leisurely pace!

Very nice apartment, situated in a pleasant and quite neighborhood, on a walking distance from the city center and museum quarter. All the needed supplies can be bought in the shops just around the corner. The service is very good and staff is very helpful. Summary: I can definitely recommend the apartment and services - 10.
