Just a few minutes away from the apartment is the magnificent Amstel River, which flows directly into the heart of Amsterdam city centre and boasts some truly remarkable scenery along the way. The river is also used to host various events throughout the year, including the entertaining rowing races Head of the River Amstel and Heineken Roeivierkamp, which both attract large crowds.

Also close by is the city’s impressive RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre which welcomes around 2 million visitors every year from across the globe and is a sight certainly not to be missed whilst visiting the area. The enormous centre, which is home to 22 conference rooms, 11 halls and a musical theatre, was also where the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest took place.
