Cosy Canal View Apartment Amsterdam

Accommodating up to four guests, this delightful two bedroom apartment occupies a prime position within Amsterdam’s popular Canal Belt.

Ideally located within a charming area of the city, this apartment offers the perfect starting point from which your explorations can begin. Boasting an effortless blend of the past and the present day, the apartment also provides a welcome retreat in which you and your guests are able to relax and unwind together in comfort and style.

The living room, which is furnished with a comfy sofa, a coffee table and a flatscreen television with DVD player, is framed by several large windows, which allow an abundance of natural light to gracefully flow through the area. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you will need in order to prepare a home cooked meal, which can be enjoyed at the apartment’s elegant dining table.

The two warm and welcoming bedrooms, which both contain a luxurious double bed, ensure that everyone has a tranquil place in which to rest and appreciate a good night’s sleep. Completing this delightful abode is the apartment’s refreshing bathroom, which is fitted with a toilet, washbasin, bathtub and shower.

Location

Conveniently situated within close proximity to a number of shops, cafes and restaurants, this apartment is perfectly positioned within Amsterdam’s much-loved Canal Belt – a network of canals which encase the city centre in a grid like fashion. The canals are often a bustling hive of activity and are where you can expect to find traditional houseboats, sightseeing cruise boats and colourful, floating parades and carnivals.

Literally alongside the apartment is the charming Amstelveld Square, a popular square which features a delightful market which is adorned with an array of stalls. Overlooking the square is the Amstelkerk, a unique wooden church which was built in the 1600s. The church was originally created to provide a temporary place of worship but is used nowadays to host various events and concerts throughout the year.

Also close by, and definitely worthy of a visit, is the incredible Museum Van Loon. Housed within a traditional, canal side building, which is owned by the prestigious Van Loon family, the museum exhibits a superb collection of impressive art work, fine furnishings and beautiful ornaments. During the summer months, the Museum Van Loon also hosts fabulous garden parties which are a sight certainly not to be missed.

9.5 Superb

We had an excellent time in the apartment which was very comfortable and larger than the photos online suggested. The apartment faces onto the peaceful Amstelveld with its tall trees. The location close to Utrechtestraat was perfect with easy tram links to Centraal Station. It is close to good restaurants. The access stairs to the apartment which is on the first floor are very steep!

Superb apartment, lovely owner Louise really warm greeting, 250 paces to Rembrandt square! Steep steps in entrance way as in every Amsterdam building. A perfect place to stay xx
