Accommodating up to four guests, this delightful apartment occupies a prime position within the popular Jordaan district of Amsterdam.
Ideally located within easy reach of a number of must see sights and attractions, this apartment offers the perfect starting point from which your explorations can begin. Exuding a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the apartment also allows you to relax and unwind in comfort together with your companions following a busy day.
The living room, which is furnished with a huge L-shaped sofa and a flatscreen television, beams with an abundance of natural light. Beautiful wooden floors lead you to the contemporary kitchen, which is where you will find all the necessary appliances needed in order to prepare a home cooked meal. An elegant dining table is also at your disposal, creating the model setting for an evening get together.
The inviting bedrooms ensure that everyone has somewhere to rest and appreciate a good night’s sleep. The two bright and fresh bathrooms are both fitted with a toilet, washbasin and shower enclosure. Completing this delightful abode is the apartment’s fantastic roof top terrace, upon which you can just sit back and enjoy a glass of beer or wine in the evening.
Conveniently situated towards the west of Amsterdam’s vibrant city centre, this apartment is perfectly positioned within the chic and stylish Jordaan district – an area renowned for its superb collection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Formed in the 1600s to accommodate the ever increasing working class population of the city, the neighbourhood soon became poor, overcrowded and filled with slums. During the 1970s, the Jordaan was given a much needed facelift which transformed it into the fashionable district that it is today.
The neighbourhood is also the home to many of Amsterdam’s must see sights and attractions, including the world famous Anne Frank House Museum, which can be found just a few minutes away from the apartment. This typical canal side house is where Anne Frank and her Jewish family hid from the Nazis during the Second World War, and is where Anne Frank wrote her iconic diary.
Also close by is the magnificent Westerkerk (West Church), the city’s largest church. Boasting a striking 85 metre high tower, the Westerkerk also exhibits some truly breath-taking architecture and is a sight certainly not to be missed whilst visiting this fascinating city.
