In the opposite direction, lies the more energetic Oosterpark, which hosts a variety of exciting events throughout the year. A great selection of cafes and stores are within walking distance. We can  recommend the cozy and informal French restaurant La Vallade, just opposite the apartment on the other side of the canal. The bustling Dappermarkt is a 10 minute stroll from the doorstep. This local market makes the perfect destination for stocking up the fridge with tasty and affordable fare. Amsterdam’s vibrant centre can be reached by bike in 15 minutes or by metro, train or tram. From the nearby Amstel Station or Amsterdam Muiderpoort you can also take a train to any city in the Netherlands.
