Step inside this truly delightful historical building and discover a magnificent holiday home providing all the comforts of home. The apartment is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the building incorporates a fantastic fully fitted kitchen where you can prepare all your favourite dishes from home with ease. You will find a dining table also provided alongside making mealtimes perfectly sociable.

After dinner you can relax with your fellow guests in the main living room area. There’s a lovely big sofa which also doubles as a bed for two of your guests. Two additional chairs enable everyone to gather together in comfort and enjoy the flat screen TV also provided here when the city has exhausted you.

The private bedrooms are located upstairs in the rafters of the building. The distinctive sloped walls of the roof make for two very romantic sleeping spaces. Each room is equipped with two single beds. The apartment also features a private bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet.

Important Information:

This apartment is located in an authentic, historical building with very steep and narrow stairs. Therefore it is less suitable for small children, the elderly or people with mobility problems and large suitcases.

This delightful city pad can be found in the heart of Amsterdam in one of its most beautiful side canals that feed into the majestic River Amstel. The river itself is quite literally just a few seconds’ walk to the east of the apartment. Follow the river north for a really relaxing and beautiful wander into the oldest and most central part of Amsterdam. The Waterlooplein with its fantastic flea market is just 10 minutes’ walk away. You can of course hop on a tram at nearby Utrechtsestraat taking around 12 minutes to reach Central Station.

Be sure to explore the stunning canal network that rings the old city centre. These four main canals are known collectively as the Canal Belt. Joining them together are lots of narrow streets and bridges which are jam-packed with all kinds shopping opportunities. This is the perfect place to pick up unusual souvenirs of your stay in the city.

A few minutes’ walk along the River Amstel from the apartment sits the wonderful Skinny Bridge, or Magere Brug, as it is locally known. It famously featured in the 1971 James Bond classic ‘Diamonds are Forever’ so you might just recognise it. Wander across and perhaps take a look inside the fantastic Hermitage Museum which is located at the eastern side of the bridge. The museum is full of all kinds of artistic and cultural treasures celebrating the special historical relationship between Russia and The Netherlands.
