Dapper Market 14 Apartment Amsterdam

The 2-bedroom Dapper Market Apartment 14 is situated in a 19th century neighborhood and it has room for 4 persons who are on business and who also want a smashing time in Amsterdam.

This apartment is decorated with warm colors on the walls and in combination with the brown curtains in the living; this does generate a very cozy and warm place to be. The living room is spacious with a nice sofa and of course a flat screen television with a DVD player so you can watch you’re favorite movie. Wireless internet is available so you can sit down at the dining table and email your friends with your laptop.

The open kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, a microwave, a fridge and a dish washer. Every day you can go to the market on the Dapper Street and buy fresh vegetables, meat of fish to cook a nice meal for your friends. Or you can use the coffee machine and the toaster to start the day with a strong cup of coffee with toast.

One bedroom has a double bed and the other bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom has a toilet, a sink and a shower with clean towels. The bed linen and the towels are made of fair trade cotton. You can buy these in a Max Havelaar store and they are more expensive based on the principle that the poor farmers in the developing countries get an honest and fair price for their cotton.

Location

The Dapper neighborhood is a quiet and peaceful area which was built in the 19th century. You can taste the typical Amsterdam atmosphere on the local market which is on the Dapper Street six days per week. You can buy almost everything like food, clothes and even pets. There are also fish stands and stands where they sell French fries with mayonnaise. Give it a try and do like the Dutch do.

But if you are looking for a smashing time then take the tram to the centre part of the city. You can book a boat tour on the canals and see the monumental, 17th century buildings on the three famous canals called the Herengracht, Keizersgracht and the Prinsengracht.

Gracht is the Dutch word for Canal. Amsterdam was the richest city of the world in the 17th century. The Amsterdam merchants or Heren as they were called traded all over the world. The spice trade with Indonesia was a fortunate business.

After a nice meal in one of the many restaurants you can take your friends to the Red Light District. The ladies of the night sit behind large windows and when they get a client, they close the curtains and put on the red light. The average price is about 50 Euros.
