Up to 6 guests will enjoy the home comforts of this stylish and welcoming 2-bedroom holiday home in Amsterdam’s vibrant Old South.
Step inside and rest those tired legs on the large sofa and enjoy the flat screen TV also included here. The sofa itself also doubles as bed for two of your guests at night time.
The two private bedrooms boast a neutral colour scheme with a double bed in one room and two singles in the second. Meanwhile an attractive bathroom is also included in the apartment featuring a sink, shower and toilet.
Enjoy mealtimes at the dining table provided. You can conjure up favourite dishes from home in the excellent fitted kitchen alongside. Eating breakfast at a time that suits you is so much civilised than fitting your holiday around a traditional hotel schedule.
The apartment boasts a fantastic location in a vibrant residential area in the south of the city centre, indeed the district is known locally as the Oud Suid or Old South. Here you will find lots of shops to pick up local groceries for cooking with back at the apartment as well as some extremely popular city attractions.
High on the ‘to do list’ of many visitors is the fantastic street market on Albert Cuypstraat. It attracts up to 20,000 people daily in search of a bargain or two. This is also a great place to pick up an unusual souvenir of your visit to the city. A little further north is the famous Heineken Experience, a visitor centre where you can learn about the brewing processes and long history of this much loved Dutch export. Meanwhile wander east from the apartment to discover the banks of the beautiful River Amstel. Head north on foot to find your way to the city centre.
Public transport links are aplenty. Simply hop on a passing tram along nearby Ceintuurbaan. Alternatively why not hire bicycles for the duration of your holiday? It’s a lovely way to see the city and cheaper, healthier and more fun that public transport.
Culture vultures will be in their element at the entertaining Museum Square. Here you can choose from the Dutch historical treasures of the Rijksmusem to the fascinating and revealing self-portraits at the Van Gogh Museum.
