The high counter and dining table for four guests make it very intimate and cosy. The sliding doors open wide onto a back garden. The apartment is situated on the Eerste Helmerstraat, in the West of Amsterdam. With plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants in the neighborhood, you will not have to go far to find what you need. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, the Vondelpark is just around the corner – a green haven in the centre of bustling Amsterdam.

The famous Jordaan area, with its “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques, is just a 20 minute walk away. The Palace on Dam Square or the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street are also within easy reach, either on foot, by bike or tram. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. A twenty minute stroll away (or 5-minute tram ride) is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks. Something for every taste!

For those of you who want to venture a little further afield, hop on one of the many trams to take you across Amsterdam. The main train station, Central Station, is also just a short ride away.
