Occupying a perfect position within close proximity to a collection of shops, cafes and restaurants, this apartment is conveniently situated within the chic and fashionable Jordaan district of Amsterdam. Renowned for its trendy boutiques, fine dining establishments and stylish bars, the neighbourhood is loved by both locals and tourists. The area was originally created in the 1600s to accommodate the ever increasing working class population of the city but it soon became poor, overcrowded and run down. In the 1970s the Jordaan underwent a much needed facelift which transformed it into the beautiful district that it is today.
Many of Amsterdam’s must see sights can be found within easy reach of the apartment including the city’s famous Anne Frank House Museum, located only a short walk away. Overlooking the majestic Prinsengracht Canal, the museum was once the home of the Jewish Frank family and is where they hid from the Nazis during the Second World War. It was here, within this typical canal side building, that Anne Frank wrote her iconic diary. The museum attracts visitors from all over the world and is one of Amsterdam’s most popular tourist attractions.
