The Prinsengracht is one of Amsterdam’s four main canals of the Canal Belt. In the heart of the trendy Jordaan district, with its eclectic collection of boutiques, cafés and restaurants, the studio apartment is a perfect base from which to explore the city (and its nightlife). Nearby you will find the very cozy typical Amsterdam cafe 't Smalle at Egelantiersgracht with a wonderful canal side terrace. Opposite the apartment is one of the first vegetarian restaurants of Amsterdam: De Bolhoed. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or walk round the corner to the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt and have a delicious piece of homemade apple pie at Winkel 43.

Also on your doorstep are the “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques. Just a ten minute walk away is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art, Moco and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks. The Palace on Dam Square, the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street and the calm of the Vondel park are all only a short walk away. For those of you who want to venture a little further afield, hop on one of the many trams to take you across Amsterdam. The main train station, Central Station, is also just a stone’s throw away.
