Centrally located on the edge of the pretty Jordaan district, this outstanding 2-bedroom holiday home makes the ideal base for up to 3 guests visiting beautiful Amsterdam.
With its calming neutral tones, clean white lines and comfortable contemporary furniture, this outstanding city pad really strikes a punch in the style stakes. You will find an elegant living room area featuring a flat screen TV which you can watch from the large comfy beige sofa. Located to the side of the room there’s an excellent fully fitted kitchen area. Here you can whip up some of your favourite recipes from home and serve them up at the large dining table and chairs. You can purchase all the ingredients you need form nearby convenience stores and local supermarkets with ease.
The two bedrooms are beautifully decorated with the same simple neutral colour scheme. The rooms are equipped with a comfortable double bed in one and a single in the second. Both rooms have excellent storage furniture for all your clothes and belongings.
The apartment also has a private bathroom with two wash basins, a bath, shower and toilet.
This fantastic short stay apartment is located on the edge of the beautiful Jordaan district within the city centre. Be sure to explore this delightfully pretty neighbourhood, once of the most highly sought after in the country. Historically it was once one of the poorest parts of the city and closely missed being largely demolished following the Second World War. Thankfully it survived and you are sure to fall in live with the enchanting network of parallel streets littered with cafes, boutiques and lots and lots of flowers and plants.
Just a few minutes’ walk to the south east lies the Canal Belt – a network of four great canals which loop around the oldest most central part of the city. On the Prinsengracht at number 263 you will find the secret home of Anne Frank and her family and friends who went into hiding here during the Nazi occupation of the city. The original building as well as the next door have been turned into a visitors’ centre and attract over one million people every year who make their way up the stairs and into the tiny living space. This is a profoundly moving experience for many people who visit and the whole centre has much to say about respect and understanding for our fellow man.
Regular trams fly up and down the Marnixstraat, just a moment’s walk from the apartment, whizzing you to and from Dam Square and Central Station in minutes. Alternatively why not hire bicycles for the duration of your stay? It’s a healthy fun and invigorating way to see the city.
