Lindengracht I apartment Amsterdam

This stunning 1-bedroom open plan living space is absolutely ideal for your short stay in the Netherlands and accommodates up to two guests in style.

The location of the apartment is not only central and convenient for exploring the city but the apartment itself is absolutely charmingly presented and packed with lots of essential home comforts.

Dark wooden floorboards, sumptuous rugs and exposed brickwork create a very welcoming scene whilst the tall cupboards crammed with interesting object d’art and lots and lots of books really does create that special warm and homely ambience.

Climb the stairs to the upper mezzanine area to discover the main living room area which features a huge L-shaped sofa as well as a flat screen TV. Back downstairs you will find a large dining table and chairs as well as a fantastic fitted kitchen enabling you to conjure up favourite dishes from home. Enjoy a bite to eat and share a bottle of wine on the impressive roof terrace in the warmer months. Also included in the apartment is a private bathroom with a sink, shower, bath and toilet.

A perfect apartment in a perfect city central location – what more could you wish for?

Location

This rather delightful apartment can be found nestled in Amsterdam’s old heart only a few steps to the west of Central Station. This sleepy district is known as the Canal Belt and its beautiful tall wonky buildings and pretty houseboats create a certain image that has come to represent the city to millions across the world.

You will notice that the street is wider than others in the area and that is because it was once yet another canal which sadly was filled in at the end of the 19th century as part of the city’s ‘modernisation period’. Today the wider space functions as a plaza for extra seating outside restaurants and cafes in the warmer months as well as being the home of a fantastic regular street market. Be sure to explore the adjacent Noordermarkt which features a fun second hand flea market on Monday mornings.

Be sure to explore the district on foot during the day and the night as the bridges that cross the canals are prettily lit up by small twinkling lights creating an extremely beautiful ambience. Early foggy mornings are also equally stunning here in this fairy-tale setting.

Dam Square, the city’s major shopping street Kalverstraat and a host of world class museums and other cultural attractions are all easily accessible on foot from the apartment. You really won’t be short of places to explore.
