Location

The Jordaan district, in which this apartment is ideally located, is a popular and sought after neighbourhood of Amsterdam. It was originally designed to house the ever increasing working class population in the 17th century but underwent a huge transformation in the 1970s, which resulted in a fashionable area filled with chic boutiques, trendy bars and fine dining establishments.

Just minutes away from the apartment, you will find one of the city’s most visited attractions, the renowned Anne Frank House Museum. Overlooking the beautiful Prinsengracht Canal, the museum allows visitors the opportunity to explore the house where Anne Frank and her Jewish family hid from the Nazis during the Second World War. It was within the ‘secret annex’ of the building, that Anne Frank wrote her world famous diary.

Also nearby are the Jordaan’s two stunning churches, the Noorderkerk (North Church) and the Westerkerk (West Church). Designed in the 1600s by architect Hendrick de Keyser, the churches offer some truly outstanding examples of impressive architecture. The striking 85 metre high tower of the Westerkerk can be seen from across the city and is a sight not to be missed.
